Publicity Speed Dating

There are THREE (3) Publicity Speed Dating events this year!

Thursday, February 29, 2024, 9:30am – 4:30pm VIRTUAL for bookstore members of NAIBA and SIBA. Registration and details TBA.

Tuesday, March 26, 2024 9:30am – 4:30pm, IN PERSON at Gotham Comedy Club (208 W. 23rd St, between 7th & 8th Ave, NYC)  for NAIBA member bookstores.  We are limiting attendance to 25 bookstores. Registration for this event closes on Monday, March 18, 2024 so we can prepare the meetings grid.

Booksellers: Register here and select the Bookseller ticket for this event. The fee is $35

Publishers: Register here and choose one of the three publisher tickets available (for a full day, morning, or afternoon only) The event is free for you. We do feature three authors (one at breakfast and two at lunch). Contact Eileen Dengler (Eileen@naiba.com) if interested.

Bookseller Strategy Sessions

NAIBA understands that each role within a bookstore comes with its own challenges and questions, so we're launching a series of strategy sessions for General Managers, Event Managers, and Frontline Booksellers. Each is a one-hour conversation built around an important topic, led by NAIBA booksellers.

Owners Retreat (Virtual)

Join bookstore owners from NAIBA & SIBA on a virtual retreat Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 6pm for a lively conversation. Check in, share strategies, ask questions, and take a few deep breaths together! Our topic in January will be how stores use strategic store vacations - closing the store to give staff time off.  Moderators: Adam Waterreus, Lost City Books, Washington, DC, and Janet Geddis, Avid Bookshop, Athens, GA. (Details for additional 2024 Owners Retreats TBA.) This event is for store owners only and will happen over Zoom. Book Buzz

NAIBA's 2024 Book Buzz virtual events take place on the first Wednesday of each month at 10am. In each approximately one-hour and fifteen minute event, you will hear from four different publishers and/or vendors.
