Organization Overview

The 3,000-square-foot store sells new titles across all genres with an emphasis on fiction and nonfiction about New York City. The store includes event space, a podcast studio, and a café. The owner is Bradley Tusk, the venture capitalist and philanthropist who founded the Gotham Book Prize. The store's name is a reference to a knitwear company co-founded by Tusk's grandfather in the early 1950s that was near the bookstore's site.
